QuoteOf course, once again, I have to add the "Carol of the Bells" (Shchedryk) which is one of my favorite Christmas songs:  Merry Christmas, Ukrainian Style.

A bit of history about the song along with different versions:  The Unknown Ukrainian Carol that everyone knows -Euromaidan Press |

Do you have a album title or an artist name by a chance?! Would like to hear some more of that music :)

Oops, I just saw this.  Sorry, Frands.

My husband was Ukrainian so what little I know came from him.  When searching Mykola Leontovych, I did discover that when I originally created the Christmas video with Windows Movie Maker (Ukrainian Christmas - YouTube), the background music is the same as what came up in the search for Mykola (Michael).

There is a very lengthy bio of him on YouTube:  Mykola Leontovych - YouTube

I found quite a few results when searching for Ukrainian Folk Music but not sure what you are looking for.

Thank you very much for your reply and links, Corrine! :) I'm just looking out for some traditional Ukrainian folk music. I have found one full album so far.:

I've asked a friend for some suggestions for you.  BTW, the instrument shown on the album cover is a bandura, the national instrument of Ukraine.
