I love OneNote, Panos, and use it constantly so I'll start a topic in the General Software News, Updates & Discussions forum.

I'm looking forward to learning about this, Corrine. :)

As I happen to be installing mail clients on a new Windows 10 system (my first ... I know I'm a luddite), I though I'd tack on a few comments, some of which will make some of you wince, so go ahead and do that.

All of my email accounts are set up as POP3. I never leave email on the server (or anything else in the cloud if I can help it.)  My life does not constrain me to access a single email account from several devices or locations.  On the other hand, a single device of mine may aggregate email from many accounts.

My security software includes Norton Security (with firewall), Malwarebytes (manual), WinPatrol, and MailWasher.

I have a bunch of email addresses for various dedicated reasons.  While I could define a bunch of profiles/identities/accounts in one email client, I find it to be more effective, less confusing, and an efficient method of separating functions, to use several email clients (not all at once.)

My order of choice is:

  • MS-Outlook
  • eM Client
  • Thunderbird
  • OE Classic
  • Mailbird
  • MS-Mail

Some are paid; some are free with gratuity; some are free ... pretty much depends on how much I use them as to how much I shell out.

I use more than one system--Outlook is not loaded on all of them.  Thunderbird is my client of choice on Ubuntu.

I use a calendar/appointment app, but it is stand-alone.  I don't need one that is incorporated in an email client.  Check out BORG.

Mailwasher, by firetrust, is the best thing since bucky balls and blue lasers.  I paid for a lifetime license.  There is a free version.  Anybody, who has more than one email account, should at least read about it.

For the record, I've been using and recommending MailWasher Pro, especially for those with multiple email accounts from multiple providers ever since MailWasher came out way be in 2001.

It is my primary email handler for the 50 to 70 emails I get on an average day sent to 7 different email accounts. At the end of the day, I typically end up with less than 5 "keepers" - emails that I actually want to keep. I then download those to MS Office. Oh, and as I mentioned way above, MailWasher Pro is a fine spam blocker too.

Hi. :)

I made above a comparison among Thunderbird's and Mail app's appearance. The latter is much more impressive. This Thunderbird add-on is something different, and definitely makes its appearance much better. I like it.

For those using Thunderbird:

Monterail add-on

Do you have something similar in mind?

I think Pete uses Thunderbird.  I haven't used it for years.

Yes I use Thunderbird, for multiple e-mail accounts, and as an appointment calendar, but I haven't felt any need to change it's appearance or interface. A quick look at the Monterail add-on (when you posted), didn't tempt me.

Recently, I've been wondering if it's 100% compatible with the latest Windows updates.

I had to go back to Windows Version 1803 because Version 1809 crashed every time I opened Thunderbird.

Things seemed to be going well until ...
Today Windows 1803 crashed just after Thunderbird opened, and I lost an email that was coming in at the time.

Thunderbird updated after a really long time last night, without any warning.

I opened it and saw that the appearance was completely different, since the add-on I had got disabled.

Good thing to know that it's not completely left without any intention for updates.
